Rampant Hordes Rage And Take The Flag! - Final Chapter Ends In Glory

Rumour swept the camp on the eve of the big battle that the Monash tribe had brought in some big name assassins to upset the hordes - the Blues were not going to blow their third GF in a row!

The wily Fox grinned like a rat with a gold tooth …”they must be worried and I suspect a little sore after their fight with the Black’s last week”

Viddo ‘the Wiz’ turned to Snaz ‘the invincible’ ... “You look worried Snaz?”

The hordes were rampant early and never let up!

Snaz snarled “The Warriors fear no one! … my concern is who do we leave behind? Chook, Killer Carrick and the others should all be with us but we can only take 26 and we have 27 ready to march."

In the end it was Sean ‘the Lance’ Vance who missed as the hordes assembled for battle. Snaz whipped his warriors into a frenzy, before they stormed onto the arena.

Such was the menacing look on the hordes faces the big crowd roared in anticipation while small boys ran away and several chooks took to nervous flight

The hordes medicine man Ian ‘Iron’ Wheels feared Luke ‘the Volcano’ Vassallo might erupt too early but the old warhorse settled and slammed home four early ones. The hordes were every-where, inflicting pain at every opportunity and by half time it was heading for a complete rout.

Desperate to rally his troops the Monash coach kept his men on the battlefield but the hordes smelt blood and yes it was time for the wily one 'Enter the Fox' ... after snatching the leather at lightning pace, the Fox, bamboozled the opposition with a double blind turn and drilled it!

The crowd went bezerk as the Fox lined up for his fourth for the quarter from point blank range, but the desperate Blues defence upset the wily one with a cry of ‘chewy on your boot’ … an old but effective trick and the Fox skewed his classic drop kick much to the delight of the hordes cheer squad behind the goals … no matter it was all over!

It was a massacre on an epic scale … back at 'the Pit' as celebrations raged amid dead chooks and drunken wenches Snaz 'the invincible paid tribute to his men and when asked to name his finest simply roared

"All the Warriors were valiant!"

Rd 17: Seniors: Bernards Minds Off The Job!
We were playing for nothing and it looked like it. Despite a lack-lustre first half the seniors went into the main break only 14 points down and after a roast from coach Madden at half time the crowd expected Bernards to get down to business but it wasnt to be.

With a strong wind at their backs OM's widened the gap and while we outscored them in the last it was a game to forget. The boys will need to smarten up next week in the last game before the serious stuff begins. Our best were hard to find Andrew Stapo showed some glimpses early, Tom Overman tried hard as did Chris Mitchell and Andrew Maggiore did well early in his first game in the seniors.

Reserves: Mean Machine Shrug Of OM's and Then Blow Them Away!

When the going gets tough ... The Ressies did not play their best footy for three and a bit qtrs but when OM's tried a little physical stuff the machine woke up got very hard at it.

From that point OM's players 'lost interest' and the 'machine' slammed on six goals in ten minutes to smash their opposition all over the park.

Our best: Jurra, Chatty, Bocca, Kav, AJ Mitchell and Dane Evans

Under 19 (1): Bernards Beat Xavs in  Thriller!

As predicted by this scribe, Matty Mulkearn's boys did it again, this time v Old Xavs.
After knocking off top side Scotch last week the boys backed up again showing that if we had not have had so many injuries early in the year we could have made a far greater impact on the comp. Our best: L. Sweeney, J. Kassis, N. Cook, J. Bevanda, M. Angel, S. Forcone

Its been fantastic month, the way the boys have kept at it and now we meet the super De La Salle side next week at 'the Pit' They were betting 1000 to 1 on this game six weeks ago. De La would have ticked the fixture off as a finals tune up but they may just get alittle more of a hit out than expected.

Happy coach Matt Mulkearns

Under 19 (2): Pups Fall at the Last!

The Pups have had a terrific last two months with some great performances but in the last game of the year just fell a little short of a bigger Xavs line up.

Our Best: Pat Gamwell, Nick Hughes, Scott Cairney, Adam Stefano, Wil Overman, Justin Monaghan
