Reserves: Mean Machine Give Chicka Big Send Off and Celebrate Jurra's 150th!
.
Thursday night selection was the most difficult of the season. With so many good players deserving to be part of the 'Mean Machine' it was hard to leave anyone out. Chick Ryan was playing his last game before heading overseas and desperately wanted to play, but in true club spirit he told the selection panel that he would step aside for one of the boys who are hoping to play finals. A great gesture from a great clubman!

Mick Moloney pulled out at the last moment allowing Chicka to play afterall and he went out with a bang with a great game on ball. The boys celebrated Jurra's 150th game in style by belting Haileybury all over the park.

Others to shine in our demolition of Old Haileybury were Bryce Micziewicz, Tommy Christie, Adam Chatfield, Chris Davis, Steve Mitchell and Mark Juricskay.

Under 19 (1): Young Bernards live the song ... 'We Never Give In'!
.
Great celebrations in the rooms and as Coach Matty Mulkearns spoke he pointed to the St Bernards club song hanging on the wall … boys today was our best win of the year and today you epitomised the St Bernards spirit … as the song says ‘We Never Give In!’

What a thriller! The boys fought tooth and nail all day but after a couple of soft free kicks, it looked like the highly ranked Old Scotch might snatch victory with the wind at their backs in the tense last quarter.

The last ten minutes were frantic with a desperate Bernards throwing everything at Scotch before getting up by 10 points. Best: Alex Singleton, Michael Sullivan, Sam Scott, Ben Jones, Michael Angela and Steve Forcone
amongst a terrific team effort.

Under 19 (2): Pete's Pups Pulverise Poor Fitzroy!

These Pups are really barking. This time it was Fitzroy Reds who faced the rampant Pups and it was no contest as Bernards romped away to a huge 88 point win.

Pat Gamwell led the best 'again' Aaron Neal, Joel Cribbin, Josh Cunningham, Matt Burgess and for about the fifth week in a row Matt Soccio got amongst the best.

But for an ounce of luck the Pups should have won their last eight outings (Won 5, drew won, lost by a whisker in 2) ... now for the final round v Xavs and we are tipping another boilover with the Pups to win and end Xavs double chance hopes!
