Rd 14: Clean Sweep! All Bernards sides
have thumping wins!
|
Seniors: St Bernards Storm Home at Sandy! |
After a slow start in
windswept
conditions at Sandringham St Bernards trailed a
spirited Beaumaris side by six points at quarter
time before piling
on 19 goals to 5 in the last three quarters to run out 77 point
winners.
Alex Jolley racked up the possessions, Ryan Schroder capped off a
return to form kicking the goal of the day, Jesse
Creasey made a sparkling debut with four goals and Tommy Godsell
continued to show improvement at Senior level in only his third game.
St Bernards relished the space provided by the big
Sandringham ground and once they found
some run were too slick for Beauy. We
now enter the business side of the season over the next month beginning
at home this week against
St Kevs where a big crowd is expected at 'the Pit'.

Reserves: Ressies Belt Beauy to remain
Unbeaten! |
The
mean machine rolls on ... once again the Ressies steamrolled their
opponent slamming on 13.13 to 0.1 after quarter time.
Chatty found some form booting six majors
while Kyle Dalmau enjoyed the big Sandy oval dominating his wing.
Andrew Maggiore and Just in from 'Vegas' Evans bagged three each to be
amongst the best. At the other end of the park Andrew Smith and Mick
Maloney were as mean as old buzzards pouncing on every forward thrust
made
by Beauy.
The boys meet second placed St Kevs next week in what should be an
early finals preview.

Warriors: Hordes Massacre Caulfield
... and Now Seek Final Glory!
|
After the
cryptic riddle from 'the Fox' last week cash flowed into the Hordes
fighting fund and all Warriors took the field with weapons paid for!
Marty 'the Boat Dancer' Byrne returned to the fray & with big
brother
(and Snakepit legend) Danny looking on Byrnsey glided to a BOG
performance!
Anthony 'the Bohemian' Bishop turned it on big time, Tristan 'the
Blade' McGlade ripped through the Caulfield spine, Matt 'the Maniac'
Marion just frightened everyone while veteran Warriors Andrew 'the
Catman' Catterall and Paul 'Gruesome' Gilmour were unstoppable!
After the carnage, the wily Fox looked to Snaz 'the Invincible'
Iannazzo ... "if we can defeat the Monash tribe the path is easier"
Snaz glared back at the Fox ... and spoke
"Fox, they don't call me 'Invincible'
for nothing ... summon old Des to sound the battle horn and tell the
Hordes to ready for mayhem ... its a
six chook kill!"

Under 19 (1): Matty Mulkearns Boys
Maul Rupo! |
|
What a turn around recently since Matty Mulkearns has been able to get
a
number of talented players back into his side.
In the first round we were smashed by St Kevs, Marcellin and Rupo but
in the past three weeks we have thrashed St Kevs, should have beaten
Marcellin and on Saturday beat Rupo by 46 points!
The good news is we will only get better and are set to create some
real
havoc for those sides we play over the next four weeks!
Young Michael Angel was our best, great to see Jake Foulds back in form
after
missing so much footy and Sammy Scott, Steve Forcone, Jake Bevanda and
Josh Kassis all did well.

Under 19 (2): Pete's Pups cause
another Boilover! |
With a few blokes back the list has strengthened and like the 19 (1)'s
'the Pups' now feel confident of beating any side after toppling Old
Geelong convincingly at 'the Pit'
