Chicks, Long Kicks, All Clicks! |
It was a weird day, nice lunch,
shocking
weather and some French chicks with chooks on their heads watching
their first game of Aussie Rules but after a big first quarter where
Bernards slammed on 7.9 while keeping Caulfield scoreless the end
result became a formality.
Chris Mitchell celebrated his 150th game
with 4 goals, Luke 'Lossa' O'Sullivan who played his 150th last week
picked up the six
stubby BOG award, Tate Pearson broke the world record for handballs and
young Tommy Godsell kicked the longest goal in VAFA history.
Yep, after a centre square infringement
by Caulfield, Tom was awarded the free kick
behind the centre circle line, went back and roosted the ball 75
metres, sailing over the pack, one bounce and through for a major,
total distance. 92.1 metres beating Jeff Fehrings effort in the
80's!

Warriors were away!

Ressies Overcome Wind and Caulfield Flood
|
The amazing
flood tactics of Caulfield in the second quarter when every player was
sent behind the centre line were both ugly and inneffectual as the
Ressies once again stormed to a decisive victory at the Snakepit.
The backline had time for a BBQ as they froze in the chilly conditions,
however, the win keeps the boys on top of the ladder and undefeated as
we head to the break.
Best: Josh Ryan, Ben Hogan, Paul Holland, Pat Harris, Mick
Moloney and Mick Kavanagh.

Hordes Unleash Fury at Bwyton! |
As word reached the campfire that Snaz 'the Invincible'
Iannazzo returns from his trek the mood at 'the Pit' was
uncertain.
Dan 'the Maniac' McManus raised the question on every Warriors lips
... "Will Snaz be appeased by 'the Fox's' stunning victory over the
Blacks last week or will he still be furious over our defeat at the
hands of the Whitfriars?"
The answer came swiftly as the hordes
marched off the long boats at Brighton beach
.Snaz
stood ready
before his Warriors to deliver the pre battle plan.
All watched in silent awe as Snaz bit off the heads of six chooks in
two bites! ...
No
Mercy! No Prisoners! he roared, and with that, the hordes
descended on the quivering Bwyton tribe and smashed them all over the
park!
When pressed for his best
'Snaz' declared ... "no single Warrior shall
be named .. all did their job, at least the Bwyton mob turned up today!"
|
|
.
The hordes stormed off the long
boats and smashed the Bwyton resistance!

Snaz
is back!

28
shots at goal to 22 and we get beat? The boys didn't get the
chocolates but after conceding an early start fought back well and drew
within a few points just on three quarter time. A couple of ordinary
decisions anda few errors in the end proved costly.
