Bernards too strong in a wet and
windy day at
'the Snakepit' |
|
It was
a game of rugby all day, (below) All smiles in the rooms
|
|
.
Round 6:
Seniors: Bernards slog out 41 pt win!
.
Despite a spirited effort by Old
Melburnians St Bernards managed to bounce back at 'the Pit' and
register a solid 41 point win and maintain second spot on the ladder.
.
When the game was up for grabs Tate Pearson chimed in with a couple of
sensational goals and Tom Caven was 'the Rock' down back. Clang, Joey,
Grant and Jacob 'birthday boy'
Bevanda relished the slippery conditions.
Ressies:
Bernards take top spot!
.
It was bloody cold down 'the Pit'
as the boys kicked the dew off but with Captain Justin 'Buckets' Evans
leading the way the boys made life even more uncomfortable for OM's
keeping them to one goal at 3/4 time before running out 55 point
winners.
Best: Buckets, Chicka Ryan, Tom Christie, Irish O'Dea, Smithy and the
flying Flanners.

Warriors: Hordes Fry Whites!
.
The
horde marched to outer Mongolia (South of Park Orchards)
to face the powerful Whitefriars tribe. Tim 'Raging' Raffle announced
he is back with
a BOG performance, James 'the Fox' Hughes drilled 3 match winning goals
and Xavier 'Killer' Cox lit the fuse before the hordes faithful
supporters (Vancey and
his
old man)
.
Next week the unbeaten Warrior hordes play the unbeaten
Blacks at 'the Pit' ... after which ...
'There
can only be one!
Our tip for the Blacks ...
pain at 'the Pit'!

Under 19 (1): Down but not out!
.
The
boys had more outs than ever
but battled
against a polished Marcellin outfit
before going down 12.16 to 3.7 Our best: Michael
Sullivan, Steve Forcone, Matt Soccio, Luke Sweeney, Ben Jones, Mick
Angel.
All we can do is work hard on the track
until we get a few back and look out when we do!
.
Under 19 (2): The Pups pipped!
.
The pups were also undermanned with so many outs and went down to
top side Aquinas by 55 points. Aquinas jumped to a big lead early but
the boys fought it out outscoring their opponent in the second half.
Nick Hughes and Peter Mugavin put in top efforts again with strong
support
from Owen McIntyre, Brenton Cooper, Ben Beagley and Ben Peart
