_RESULTS

Round 5:

Seniors: Bernards blow top spot at Windy Hill

A very young St Bernards side got off to a slow start on Saturday allowing OEG to skip away to a five goal lead at quarter time. St Bernards could not get their running game going
against their taller, bigger opponents and while we managed to outscore OEG in both the second and third quarters OEG won the last quarter emphatically to take round one of the innaugural local derby.

The boys will need to bounce back next week when we return to 'the Pit' against Old Melburnians.

Ressies: St Bernards remain unbeaten

In a high standard Reserves game St Bernards proved a bit too strong for a determined OEG. While the boys looked like they would overpower the Grammar side the result was still in the balance until 20 mins from the final siren when two quick goals pushed the final margin to 22 points.
Adam Matthews received an ankle injury that will keep him out for few weeks. Bad luck but Adam will no doubt bounce back.

Warriors: Hordes continue the rampage

Another '300 Warriors' turned up to defend 'the Pit' before Paul 'Snaz' Iannazzo trimmed the list to twenty six or so.

Johnny 'Horrible' Hellard led the assault on the Trinity tribe receiving ample support from 'the flying Flanners', 'the Samauri assasin' Yoshi, 'the Irish Mawler' Mick Maloney, James 'the Fox' Hughes and assorted other Warriors. The boys got off to a flyer before pulverising the opposition by 98 points.

Next week the Warriors march again to fry some Whites at Park Orchids, somewhere east of Mongolia!

Under 19 Premier: Young 19s do it hard

Once again the boys went in a little undermanned and despite trying hard were outgunned by a stronger Xavs line up.

Under 19 (2): Pups battle but beaten

With so many out at the top end the pups did well to put up a fight but were in the end soundly beaten on the day by Xavs at Stradbroke Park
