John Potter has come on board to assist recruiting and been named chairman of selectors for 2008. Father of key forward Cal, John has an extensive football background as a player, coach and is an astute judge of the modern game.
A talented footballer, John was on the Western Bulldogs (Footscray) list before stints in the VFA (now VFL) with Sunshine & Williamstown prior to playing in two A Grade premiership sides with Tullamarine in the EDFL where he was both Captain and Assistant Coach. |
John played and coached A Grade EDFL and RDFL sides and held various coaching roles before his first experience in Amateur footy with Rupertswood where he was skills coach for the undefeated Rupo U19s in their '03 premiership year.
