Tom 'the Rock' Caven Chalks up 150

30 May 2014

St Bernards senior captain Tom Caven will line up for his 150th VAFA game against De La Salle in round seven (26 under 19 games, 124 seniors).

Another product of St Bernards junior program, Tom played in ‘Miracle’ Mel Beyer’s U17 premiership side in 2005 before moving into under 19 ranks in 2006 where he took out the 19s Best and Fairest. Tom made his senior debut in 2007 and has been the ‘the Rock’ of St Bernards defence ever since.

Along the way Tom has won two senior Best and Fairests and multiple VAFA State jumpers from U19 through to senior level.

Named in St Bernards Team of the half century, Tom has continued to add to his illustrious VAFA career as the current State full back has been named in the Vic Metro squad to take on VCFL in July.

Not only a great player but a first class clubman and super bloke all at St Bernards salute Tom on his fine career to date and wish him well in his 150th.
