200 Games for a Great player and Great Person

Singa’ Chalks Up 200th

Alex Singleton will line up for his 200th VAFA game this Saturday. Another product of St Bernards junior program Alex started way back in the U/10's and rarely missed a game. He progressed through under 19 football before making his senior debut in 2009 and has been a permanent fixture in the senior line up ever since.

Along the way Alex has collected VAFA representative honours, was Runner Up in our senior B&F in 2011, won the H&C Lambert medal, 2012 and of course played a huge role in our 2015 Premier Division flag. A hard running wingman Singa’s raking left foot has provided plenty of highlights for the St Bernards faithful.

Alex’s consistency and resilience has been remarkable, into his ninth season of senior footy, Alex has played 152 of a possible 157 senior games and has finished top eight in every senior vote count in that time.

Alex has not only been a terrific player, he’s a great clubman and a super bloke. There’s nothing better than seeing ‘Singa’ streaming down ‘the pit’ booting a goal and giving the ‘Singa Pump’ and we look forward to many more highlights to come.
Well done ‘Singa’
