Paul 'Dutchy' Holland clocks up 200

24 July 2013

Congrats to Dutchy Holland who plays his 200th game for the club against Old Xavs this week.

It’s been a while coming for the popular Dutchman with some time spent overseas and a number of injuries along the way.

Dutchy came through the U19s before making his Senior debut way back 2003 and has since gone on to play 41 Seniors, 121 Reserves, 18 Under 19s and 19 Thirds/Warriors games

A member of the 2003 Reserves Premiership side Dutchy has mainly been an attacking backman but has played wing, forward and even in the ruck when his younger legs could produce the big leap.

Over the journey Dutchy played many, many Reserves games alongside good mates and other club stalwarts Stephen Iannazzo, Nick Smith Jnr, Justin Evans, Chris Davis and Andrew Smith. The group formed the core of an era when St Bernards strong Reserves sides were regularly in finals. Dutchy, Evo and Turtle are the only remaining players from the 2003 side and its great to have them still donning the jumper each week.

Dutch has been a great clubman, served on Committee, organised Club Balls and numerous other functions over the years and hopefully many more to come.

Well done Dutch!
