It's been a big year for milestones with Paddy Harris chalking up the 150, Capesey, Clang and and Snaz hitting the exulted 200 and Chris 'Chisel' Davis joining only eight others to play 250 games for St Bernards OCFC. In this weeks finals three more of Bernards favorite sons reach important milestones so lets hope it's a double celebration.

George Garth Hits 150 Games!

Congratulations to Seniors co vice captain Brenton 'George' Garth who is set to play his 150th game in this weeks final against Old Brighton

Another product of the St Bernard's Junior program, George played in back to back Under 19 Premiership sides in 2002 and 2003 where St Bernard's completed a remarkable undefeated season in the U19 Premier Division.

In 2004 George won the U/19 Best and Fairest and made his senior debut against Old Xavs before playing in the clubs last A Grade finals campaign.

After a year overseas in '09 George returned to take the Most Determined trophy in 2010. A tough on baller /utility George has regularly taken on the opposition's best in Premier A & B Grade. His fearless approach has resulted in a few injuries but he's a hard man to stop so its great to see George chalk up the 150.

Off field, George's leadership qualities and passion for Bernards have made him a popular clubman and of course he spices up Thursday night's with his Libbas Lookalikes!

Well done George!

Josh Madden Racks Up His 100th!

Josh receiving his 2010 H&C Lambert Medal

It's fitting that Josh Madden plays his 100th game with great mate George Garth. The two have been playing footy together since, as 11 year olds they played in the St Theresa's Primary school premiership side which also included Chris Liberatore.

Despite countless injuries, overseas travel and a stint with Bendigo Bombers Josh is widely recognised as one of the best players in Ammo footy. Josh burst onto the A Grade scene at 18 in 2004 and but for injury would be a dual Woodrow Medalist. He was Runner Up in the Woodrow in 2005 after missing a few and a runaway leader in 2006 before injury forced him to miss the last six games.

One of only six players to win multiple St Bernards Senior Best and Fairest awards (2005/06) and 2010 H&C Lambert (Anzac Challenge Match) Medalist Josh is a freakish mark with lightning speed who can play any position from Ruck to Wing and Snake Pit supporters love nothing better than seeing Josh Madden in full flight.

Well done Josh!

Joey Indomenico Joins 100 Club!

Joey debut game 2006

Like George and Josh Joey is another product of St Bernards Junior program and after starring in Junior ranks Joey progressed through to our Under 19s in 2004 before captaining the side into Premier Div finals in 2005 and taking out the 19s Best and Fairest.

Joey made a sparkling Senior debut in 2006 against Marcellin taking out 'Best First Year Player award in that year and since then Joey has been a regular senior player.

Unfortunately Joey has incurred more than his fair share of injuries in the past several seasons but as he has done on many occasions Joey will no doubt bounce back.

A ferocious competitor Joey has an ability to find the footy, can play midfield, lead up forward or if needed can do a job down back. His flexibility and his passion for St Bernards success are hallmarks of his game.

A great clubman Joey is one of the first blokes to put his hand up when out injured, running water or helping out his mates in any way he can.

We look forward to seeing Joey get a fair run with injuries and chalk up the next milestone

Well done Joey!

Paul Garth
