The 22-year-old past St.Bernard's player yesterday was thrilled to get the nod from Richmond FC after they completed a deal with Greater Western Sydney on the first day of AFL Trade Week, the deal will see steve become an AFL senior listed player for 2012. Steve had a stellar season this year in the SANFL with West Adelaide, which resulted in Steve being invited to train with AFL Team Richmond FC towards the end of the season where he managed to impress.

Before playing football in the SANFL, Steve was both a St.Bernard's Old Boy ('06) and a past player of our football club, with Steve having played both under 19s and senior football for us in 2006 & 2007. Steve's desire to make it to the highest level saw him in 2008 move onto play higher grade football with West Adelaide in the SANFL, which saw him venture on a journey that has now taken him to the AFL.

SBOCFC wishes Steve the very best in becoming a regular senior AFL player with the Tigers and hope that maybe one day he will be back down the pit where he first wore the yellow and black.
