VAFA community celebrates 125yr Club Round

28 June 2017

Special volunteer medals and BOG medals form part of the celebrations

In celebration of the Victorian Amateur Football Association’s 125th-year anniversary in 2017, this weekend will signify a very special Club Round as we recognise those who have contributed to the success of VAFA clubs since our centenary celebrations in 1992.

Traditionally, VAFA clubs operate on the hard work and dedication of their volunteers and recognising their contribution alongside players, coaches and sponsors this weekend is one small way of giving back. Personnel who have made the most significant contributions to the ongoing success of their club between 1992-2017, as nominated by their club, will receive a personalised 125-Year medallion.

Additionally, after each match, a medallion will be presented to the player judged best on ground by the officiating umpires.

VAFA Media will promote each recipient post-event with bios, explaining the fantastic contribution each awardee has made to their club.

The VAFA wishes each club a fantastic weekend celebrating their involvement in our Association and thanks those who have contributed to the ongoing success of our clubs.
