A Bomber lands at the Snakepit

22 November 2012

St Bernard's high performance player development program has made another key appointment.

The junior club is very proud to announce that former Essendon player, current AFL player manager and talent scout Scott Lucas, has landed at the Snakepit. Scott will fill the role of "Director - Junior Coaching" developing a playing manual and game plan too be implemented across the junior club. Scott will "coach the coaches" across the juniors and also liase with the senior club coaching panel to ensure St Bernard's high performance player program is maximised across all age levels. Of course Scott excelled in his own playing career of 270 games and 471 goals, including two B&F's, the 2000 premiership, Essendon 2006 leading goal kicker and a 2nd in the Coleman medal. Scott's insightful commentary has also been heard through various media outlets and his coaching experience includes time as an assistant forward coach with the bombers.
St Bernard's believes Scott's appointment underlines what is one of the best football development programs in Melbourne. We have now assembled a football dept comprising former AFL leaders Dean Laidley,Simon Atkins,Scott Lucas and Nick Mitchell, working with our highly credentialled local coaches Tankard,Sullivan,Wood and Monaghan. We look forward to this team developing our talented playing group, too maximise everyone's performance as the club moves into its 50th anniversary season in 2013.
Go Bernard's !
