The three “unders” teams enjoyed three solid wins on the weekend, with the 19 Prem win notable for the 4 players rested against Uni Blues, 2 key players who played in the 1sts success against Uni Blacks, and 1-2 others unavailable on the weekend.

19 Prem coach Rocky Ianello has some tough selection decisions in the coming 1-2 weeks, as the 19 Prem boys face a “dead rubber” final game against St. Kevins before the 1st semi final the following week, also against St. Kevins.

Supporters are encouraged to get around the 19 Prem squad as they prepare to go deep into September action for the second year running.

19 North fielded a strong side on Saturday, bolstered by some unlucky U18 players not selected in the 18’s game against Willi.  After a tough 3 weeks against the top 3 sides, it was pleasing to see Trev Doody’s and Rohan Vahland’s boys get back on the winning side of the ledger, with a comprehensive win against Old Paradians.

Straight off a flight back from Honolulu, Jake Wright impressed in the middle, adding one further selection headache for Rocky Ianello and his coaching team ahead of the finals series.  We are sure the 19 North boys will look for one last win to round out what has been a fantastic year for this side.

2.00 pm this Saturday at The Pit is a MUST ATTEND for parents, friends and supporters of this great 19 North group.

The U18’s had a must win game against 3rd placed Williamstown, and did not disappoint, delivering an emphatic 62 point thumping of Willi.

The 18’s remain one game adrift of 4th spot, and MUST defeat 2nd place Werribee this Saturday in the final round to be any chance of playing in the finals.  Get down to the Pit, 11.40 am, to watch this young, exciting team strive for finals glory.
