Football Club hosts SBC First XVIII B&F

26 June 2014

Karl Brown receives his B&F trophy for the 2014 First XVIII Season

It was the football clubs pleasure for a fourth year, to host all the players/coaches and parents of the St Bernards College Firsts Team for their Best & Fairest Count.
Football Club "Development Coach" Simon Atkins also coaches the school firsts, expertly assisted by David McBean, team manager Judy Sultana and a group of dedicated helpers.  This night is gaining prestige and class and all the boys were looking sharp in business shirts and ties.
While its was a year of what could have been for the team, their were many players who contributed strongly and voting in the b&f was keenly contested.
Karl Brown (pictured with Simon Atkins and David McBean) had an outstanding school season and was a very proud and worthy winner of the B&F.  Well played Karl and team and another very professional year by all coaches and support staff involved.
Club Football Director Craig Connelly also took this opportunity to highlight what a great competition the VAFA U/19 Premier division is.  Many players coming through this team have significantly improved their skills and performces, and in some cases with assisatnce from the club, secured pre-seasons with vfl clubs.  The football clubs highest priority at every level is player development, and the club continues to invite all college footballers down to the club to see what's happeing and to become involved in our innovative football program
We look forward to seeing the College Firsts having a strong season in 2015, and wish all the players involved the very best as they take the next step in their football journey.
