25 November 2014

The club held its 52nd AGM last week where administration, team reports and financials for the 2014 year were presented to members.

After which office bearers for 2015 were elected.
Overall the club had a very strong year both on and off the field, with all six senior club teams going very deep into finals and the u/19 Premier team securing the premiership. Treasurer Ken Graham also presented solid off field results, with both junior and senior sections of the club generating surpluses driven by very focussed and hard working fund raising and sponsorship results. The club is very grateful for the tremendous ongoing support we receive from all our players, members, sponsors and supporters. This support is vital and a key driver of the strong outcomes the club has generated in all aspects of our operations.
Having the club on a  firm financial footing is especially important at present, as the club works through the redevelopment of oval one and the on-going search, development and investment in third oval options.
Office bearers were elected with the majority of the committee being re-elected to their existing positions. Special thanks to Michelle Denahy stepping down after two excellent years as secretary, and congratulations to James DelZoppo on well deserved promotion, moving up from admin assistant to the role of Secretary.
Special thanks to the following committee members for their ongoing contribution as we move into 2015. Football Director Craig Connelly, Junior President Paul Flynn, School Rep Matt Mulkearns, Player Rep Justin Evans, Club Administrator John Raffle, Director of Fundraising Vinnie McGuire, Director of Recruiting & Membership Terry Bentick.
Preseason training kicked off this week with over 50 senior players hitting the track, to work on building a base for another exciting season ahead. In addition we have over eighty 15 to 18yr olds registered and participating in our Football Academy. With the players already putting their nose to the grindstone, we urge all members, sponsors and supporters to get on board for a big 2015 campaign.
thanks and regards
