50th Anniversary Book deadline extended

11 April 2012

Calling for Submissions. As most would know St Bernards Old Collegians Football Club will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2013.

As part of a year of ongoing celebrations the Club is looking to publish a book in 2013 that will celebrate its first fifty years.

The book will capture and record the very essence of St Bernards through the eyes of those that helped build the Club. Unlike typical books of this type, the St Bernards Anniversary book will put into print the folklore of SBOCFC in the words of those directly and indirectly involved regardless of status and ability so that it is remembered and recalled long into the future.

We hope it will tell the stories of the great victories and losses, triumphs and challenges, joys and scandals, humour and pain, champions and tryers, coaches and the personalities over each of the clubs first five decades.

Currently the book committee is busy bringing together stories about the Club during its first 5 decades.

However if you feel you want to contribute we encourage you do so.

The submission deadlone has been extended until 31st April, 2012 and we need as many stories as possible. If you have an idea and want to discuss it then, please call Matt Mulkearns on 0416 269 981. Otherwise put pen to paper quickly and send to Matt Mulkearns at the following email address - matthew.mulkearns@places.vic.gov.au.

Submissions should be a minimum of 500 words to a maximum of approximately 3,000 words.

Of course, any old photos or memorabilia that will enhance the look and feel of the book will be gratefully received and returned at the appropriate time.

The following PDF file has some notes we have compiled that may assist you in writing your story.
